About Ambulatory Phlebectomy
Phlebectomy is often performed alongside or after vein closure (EVLT, RFA, VenaSeal) to remove the residual bulging veins that remain at the surface. It is performed in-office under local anesthesia, and most patients walk the same day.
Ambulatory phlebectomy removes bulging surface veins through micro-incisions — typically no sutures needed. It is often performed alongside or after EVLT/RFA for a more complete result.
