Medical

Recurrent Veins After Prior Treatment

New or returning varicose or spider veins after a previous procedure — often from a different feeder vein.

  • New visible veins after prior treatment
  • Returning aching or heaviness
  • Bulging in a new area

When to seek evaluation

If symptoms or visible veins return months or years after a previous procedure.

Medical

One Leg Bigger Than the Other (Asymmetric Swelling)

Persistent swelling in only one leg can point to venous reflux, a prior DVT, or lymphedema — diagnostic ultrasound is the first step.

  • Noticeably larger calf or ankle on one side
  • Tight, heavy, or stretched feeling in the affected leg
  • Indentations from socks on one leg only

When to seek evaluation

Promptly if swelling is new, painful, warm, red, sudden, or follows a recent surgery, flight, or injury — these may suggest DVT and require urgent evaluation.
